What a start to year one, we have had lots of fun learning since the start of the year. Have a look below at some of our activities including tasting fruits, cutting and juicing fruits, playing glockenspiels, learning about the 5 senses and we've even been to forest school.
Take a look at some amazing problem solving we have been completing this half term.
Our First Week in Year 6
This week, we have enjoyed seeing our friends again, enjoyed learning about the expectations in Year 6, and have began learning about new areas of thje curriculum. In English, we have worked together to gather interesting vocabulary, Alan Peat sentences and used higher level punctuation to plan a setting description of a cottage (based on our whole class text 'The Light Jar'). In maths, we are learning about the place value of numbers up to 10,000,000. In RE we have focused on our year group Saint, Saint Francis, and began our Caristas work. In Science, we have discovered how light travels! We investigated and explored this objective in a hands on practical lesson. We have enjoyed being back at school, and are looking fowards to the year ahead!
