Image of Year 3 Outdoor Science Learning

Year 3 made the most of the glorious sunshine we have had lately and took their learning outdoors. they are currently investigating light in their Science topic and to understand shadows, they went out into the playground and explored with their own shadows.

The children created their own scientific questions based on their own curiosities, they then explored ways of finding out the answers.  They had so much fun!

Back in class, 3S noticed a relationship between the size of the shadow and the distance between the object and the light source, so decided to investigate further. What amazing scientists they are!

Have a look at our fantastic pictures!
